Prof.Dr.Alfred Tomatis

Alfred A. Tomatis was born 1920 in Nizza. In his first period he practised medicine as an ear, nose and throat doctor in Paris before he became a professor for
Audio-Psycho-Phonology and psycholinguistics. Furthermore, he was director of the Internatinal Centre of Languages in Paris.

He counts as the pioneer for music and sound therapy, modern language und singing schools as soon as prenatal psychology. Certainly have the circumstances of his own birth (after six and a half month as an unwanted children) contributed to his research of prenatal and postnatal influences about ones lifes.

Tomatis has founded with his "Audio-Psycho-Phonology" a field of research, as he pointed out the relations between ear, hearing, brain, nervous system, voice, language and psyche.
